This project includes demolition and reconstruction of an integrated public safety complex with shared services. The new station will accommodate modern apparatus and staffing, and will be built on the existing station location and property acquired by the Town in the surrounding block. The project also includes the demolition and reconstruction of Fire Station #2.

For the main station, Odeh designed a durable loadbearing masonry wall structure for the large apparatus bay and a composite steel framed structure for the remaining facility. Careful coordination was required to phase construction, which started with the apparatus bay and portions of the public safety building. Phase 1 will be completed in summer 2020, followed by demolition of the remaining building and completion of Phase 2.

Meanwhile, Fire Station #2 will be constructed using a two story steel frame structure, including two levels of vehicle bays to take advantage of the hilly terrain. The structure is under construction and slated for completion in 2021.
