Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Odeh Engineers is a recognized leader in the application of computer technology and three dimensional building information modeling (BIM) in structural engineering.

We use this technology to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of our work. Many firms employ BIM as simply a method of construction document production—at Odeh, we leverage all of the capabilities of BIM to:

Explore and visualize structural design options

BIM allows us to rapidly model several structural variations and work with the design team to select the best. Early BIM prototyping can also lower subcontractor costs due to improved documentations at bid time.

Continuously interact with the design and construction team for coordination

Integration with architectural and MEP models early in the design process can streamline integration between systems. Many of our projects are done with multiple disciplines modeled with BIM, which allows us to leverage advanced coordination features.

Improved scheduling and coordination

BIM can improve schedules due to better coordination between trades. Clash detection and coordination can reduce non-discretionary change orders that would otherwise come up during construction.
