University of Rhode Island
College of Pharmacy
New Research and Academic Building

This new 100,000 sf building will serve as the research laboratories and academic center for URI’s prestigious College of Pharmacy.

The steel framed structure includes a large lecture hall as well as research labs on upper floors. Connector wings to two adjacent buildings were also constructed as part of the project.

The south side of the Pharmacy building has three “neighborhoods” visible through the glass. The dramatic two-story glass windows were constructed using tension-hanger steel plate mullions that also support the floor system.
