Building Renovation

This historic five-story former Boston Wharf warehouse building was renovated in 2008 to create a highly sustainable office building and new anchor of redeveloping in the Fort Point Channel district of Boston.

The original building, a loadbearing masonry structure with heavy timber floor and roof framing, was completely restored with new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, a new elevator tower, and a new sixth floor penthouse addition on the roof.

Odeh Engineers created a detailed Building Information Model of the existing structure prior, including the existing timber pile foundations, to facilitate design of the addition and renovations.
